Rispetto alla versione più grande, il corpo e la pala anteriore sono stati notevolmente ridotti per ottenere una piccola buzz bait da utilizzare con attrezzature più leggere ed un approccio molto meno invasivo di un tradizionale buzz bait.

Le caratteristiche principali sono le classiche vibrazioni sulla superficie dell’acqua, più discrete e il caratteristico rumore “Squeaky“, ottenuto attraverso un rivetto ideato, sviluppato da Molix e posizionato sull’asse della pala.

Con le sue dimensioni compatte è in grado di stimolare l’attacco di pesci apatici e diffidenti, risultando così efficace negli spot ad alta pressione di pesca.
Il Lover Buzz SS Junior è equipaggiato con amo OMTD Custom ed è disponibile nell’unica misura da 1/4oz (7 grammi) in sei colori per tutte le situazioni di pesca.

Molti anni fa un sognatore, ardimentoso bass angler, coglie – primo italiano – l’occasione per cimentarsi nel B.A.S.S. National Championship. Ha già vinto tutto in Italia ed in Europa ed è sicuro delle proprie capacità. Nelle giornate che precedono la gara, nota un giovane angler americano, che guarda lontano nell’intrico nella vegetazione che emerge dalle acque del Red River. Gli occhi fissi, dietro agli occhiali, per controllare il lancio di un pesante Jig, che pattina  a lungo sull’acqua e sulla vegetazione sino là, lontano. Ripete quel gesto più volte, con la stessa precisione.

I due si presentano: “Mike Iaconelli” “Stefano Sammarchi”, il primo distolto dal suo sguardo fisso sul bersaglio ed il secondo dai propri sogni. C’è feeling.
Il sognatore italiano rivede le proprie certezze ed inizia davvero a comprendere il mondo del bass fishing professionale made in USA.
Stefano Sammarchi diventerà poi, con un gruppo di appassionati, l’ispiratore di Molix. Mike Iaconelli si aggiudicherà il Bass Master Classic nel 2003 e l’AOY 2006 (“Angler of the Year“) e per tutti sarà “Ike” quello che “never give up”.

Si incontreranno ancora durante l’ICAST Show 2009 a Orlando in Florida insieme a Paolo Vannini. Lì, una piccola grande storia italiana, affondano le radici di una collaborazione proficua che cresce nei contenuti umani e tecnici.

Una nuova categoria di esche ideate, progettate e sviluppate insieme e denominate – non casualmente – “Lover”. Esche realizzate per l’amore verso il bass fishing, che si sono rivelate catturanti anche con altri predatori del fresh water, ma che soprattutto denotano una grande versatilità: dalle cover all’open water, dal power fishing su lunghe distanze, alla ricerca dei  i grandi bass sul fondo o lungo le strutture.

La prima: il Lover “Special Vibration Jig”, innovativo, in grado di produrre vibrazioni atipiche per questa tipologia di esche, grazie al “lip rovesciato”. I materiali sono di qualità, come l’ABS Special Grade del corpo. Il design accurato.  Molix ne realizza diverse versioni: con ancoretta o single hook (entrambi OMTD Custom Hi Performance dressati), rattlin o silent, con diverse grammature disponibili: dal più piccolo che pesa solo 3/8 di oncia alla versione denominata “Magnum” da  1.1/2oz.

Poi il Lover Buzz, dalla forma compatta e “in-line” per dare precisione anche in condizioni complicate e caratterizzate da forte vento, ed efficacia sia in acque aperte che in zone di heavy cover. Sono equipaggiati con ami OMTD Custom High Performance dressati. Disponibili a partire dalla versione SS Junior da 1/4 di oz alle versioni Buzz e Buzz SS da 1/2 oz, per diversi approcci in pesca. Le versioni “SS” (super squeaky) hanno la caratteristica di avere la pala che scorre su uno speciale rivetto in ottone zigrinato, che emette un rumore particolare, la cui tonalità è risultata molto attrattiva ed udibile dal pesce anche a grande distanza.

Recente, il “Lover Spinnerbait”,  dotato di tripla pala orizzontale, che conferisce vibrazioni e luminosità eccezionali. L’insieme è perfettamente bilanciato durante il recupero e risulta catturante anche quando si usa come una drop bait. Mantiene l’assetto ottimale recuperato in svariati modi: lento, veloce o con il “change direction” di Mike Iaconelli.  E’ equipaggiato con un amo singolo super resistente OMTD Custom. Profilo, forma della testa, occhi naturali, finiture e gamma di colori, fanno di questo spinnerbait un’esca efficace nella ricerca di molti predatori. Adescante in caduta oltre al caratteristico rumore che producono le pale toccandosi (Original Blades Clinking Sound) a secondo dell’intensità del recupero. E’ disponibile anche nelle speciali colorazioni “Ike’s Colors”, con skirts legati a mano.

Dopo lo sviluppo e la commercializzazione in larga scala delle precedenti esche era arrivato il momento di creare qualcosa di diverso, qualcosa che potesse offrire nuove opportunità di pesca. Inizia così la progettazione di uno spoon, il Lover Spoon.
Mike Iaconelli ispira fortemente la realizzazione ricerca del Lover Spoon, un’esca di generose dimensioni per la pesca del pesce di taglia. Il Lover Spoon si contraddistingue per la grande lanciabilità e l’affondamento sfarfallante, molto ampio e irregolare, grazie alla specifica curvatura a lungo studiata. Il movimento ondulatorio sul recupero determina un potente richiamo visivo dovuto ai riflessi emanati dall’ampia superficie in metallo. Altre caratteristiche importanti sulle quali il design di Molix si è espresso al meglio sono il corpo battuto a “pelle di pesce” e le colorazioni realistiche. Il Lover Spoon è attualmente disponibile in due diverse misure e pesi, armato con doppio amo centrale a sistema di tenuta magnetico e ancoretta posteriore extra strong, entrambi, come per tutte le esce della serie Lover, OMTD Custom.

Ultimo progetto realizzato in ordine di tempo è il Lover Buzz SS Junior, che lo scorso Ottobre, al suo esordio in pubblico, si è aggiudicato il premio ”Best Hard Lure Prize” al Pitman Creek Wholesale 24th Annual Fall Dealer Show, a Sevierville, nel Tennessee.

“Molix Lover Series” a great little Italian history.
Many years ago, the first italian competed at the B.A.S.S. national championships. He was a dreamer and a bold bass angler. He had already won all competitions in Italy and Europe and he was confident in his abilities. In the days leading up to the race, he noted a young American angler, that was watching the vegetation emerging from the waters of the Red River. His eyes focused, behind the glasses, on the casting of a heavy Jig, skating on the water and on the vegetation, up there, far away. He repeated this gesture several times, with the same accuracy. The two anglers met themselves: “Mike Iaconelli”, “Stefano Sammarchi”, the first distracted by his gaze fixed on the target and the second distracted by his dreams. There is feeling. The Italian dreamer revises its certainties and really start to understand the world of professional bass fishing in the USA. Stefano Sammarchi became then, with a group of fans, the creator of Molix. Mike Iaconelli won the Bass Master Classic in 2003 and the AOY 2006 (“Angler of the Year”). For everyone he would be “Ike” the one of “never give up”.
They met again at the ICAST Show 2009 in Orlando Florida with Paolo Vannini. There, a great little Italian history, the roots of a fruitful cooperation that grew in the human and in technical content. A new category of lures designed and developed together and called-not coincidentally-”Lover”. Lures made because of the love for bass fishing and that are capturing for other predators of fresh water too, but that primarily denote a great versatility: from covers to open water, from power fishing over long distances to the research of the big bass on the bottom or along the structures. The first: the Lover “Special Vibration Jig”, innovative, able to produce atypical vibrations for this kind of bait, thanks to “reversed lip”. It is made of high quality materials, like ABS Special Grade for the body. The design is accurate. Molix realizes different versions of this lure: with treble hooks or with single hook (both Dressed OMTD Custom Hi Performance), rattlin or silent, with different weights available: from the smallest, weighting only 3/8 of an ounce to the version called “Magnum” of 1.1/2oz. Then the Lover Buzz, its compact and in-line shape give to it precision even with complicated conditions as strong winds and effectiveness both in open water than in heavy cover areas. It is equipped with Dressed Custom High Performance OMTD hooks. It is available from the Junior SS version of 1/4 oz to the Buzz and Buzz SS versions of 1/2 oz, for different approaches of fishing. The “SS” versions (super squeaky) have the characteristic of having the blade that slides on a special rivet made of knurled brass, which emits a particular sound, that is very attractive for the fishes even from a great distance. Recently, the “Lover” Spinnerbait “, with a triple horizontal blade, that creates vibrations and an exceptional brightness. The lure is perfectly balanced during the retrieval and it is effective even when you use it as a drop bait. It maintains an optimal arrangement retrieved in different ways: slow, fast or with the “change direction” of Mike Iaconelli. It is equipped with a super tough OMTD Custom single hook. Profile, head shape, natural eyes and colors, make this spinnerbait an effective lure for many predators. It is attractive while it is sinking and when it produces the characteristic noise due to the blades that touch each other (Original Blades Clinking Sound) depending on the intensity of the retrevial. It is also available in special “Ike’s Colors”, with skirts tied by hand. After the development and the large-scale commercialization of the previous lure was time to create something different, something that could offer new fishing opportunities. Thus began the design of a spoon, the lover spoon. Mike Iaconelli strongly inspired the realization of the Lover Spoon, a large lure for big predators. The Lover Spoon can reach great distances and it is characterized by a flickering sinking, very wide and irregular, thanks to the specific curvature. The movement during the retrieval determines a powerful eye catcher due to the reflections emanating by the large metal surface. Other important characteristics where the design of Molix is best expressed are the “fish skin” body and the realistic colors. The Lover Spoon is currently available in two different sizes and weights, armed with a central double hook and a magnetic sealing system with a rear extra strong treble hook, both, as all the hooks of the Lover series are OMTD Custom. The latest project realized in chronological order is the Lover Buzz SS Junior. The last October, on its debut in public, was awarded “Best Hard Lure” at the Pitman Creek Wholesale 24th Annual Fall Dealer Show, in Sevierville, Tennessee.
Compared to the larger version, in the Lover Buzz SS Junior, the body and front shovel have been significantly reduced to get a small buzz bait for a lighter equipment, for less invasive approaches compared to the traditional buzz baits. The main features are: more discreet vibrations on the surface of the water and the “Squeaky” sound, achieved through the special rivet positioned on the axis of the blade. It is very effective in spots with a high fishing pressure.
The bait is equipped with a OMTD Custom hook and is available in the size of 1/4 oz and in six different colors.
The future? The future is filled with new ideas and new projects while continuing to state the characteristics of the Lover style by Molix, and”Ike”.
